Welcome back to school!
Just a few reminders:
Grandparent's Day is Thursday, March 12 from 9:30-11:30. Please be sure to turn in your Grandparent's day form by Friday, March 6th.
There is a half day of school Friday, March 13. There is no after school care on this day.
We had a great day of school! Many of the friends worked together in the blocks. We have been working on positive conflict resolution, problem solving, and compromising when there is a problem. This is an important social skill.
Victoria figured out how to make her artwork stand up like a picture frame!
We are so thankful for the commons!
During morning meeting we played a cotton ball toss game that helped the children recognize their letters. This game also helps develop hand-eye coordination!
During small group time the children worked in partners to choose classroom items to shoot off on our catapults. They predicted which item would go farther, and then they tested their prediction.
The friends also helped answer the questions we wrote about catapults last week based on our experiences with catapults. This activity serves as an informal assessment as to what the friends have learned.
We also drew pictures of castles, knights, and/or catapults.

Bryson worked hard to write invitations to our tournament. This was a great time to engage in meaningful writing practice.
Anabelle made a sign up sheet for the tournament.
During Jesus time we learned the story of Zaccheaus as found in Luke 19:1-10. We learned that sometimes we make bad choices. However, no one is too "bad" of a sinner for Jesus to love and forgive. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can tell God that we are sorry and he will forgive our sins!
