This morning many of the friends helped make new discovery bottles for our science center!
Other friends read books together!
Playing dogs
The Junior Hight Student Council led our chapel today! They shared with us how God made each of us special. We are all different, and He loves us all very much! He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to save us from our sins!
On the way out of chapel, we noticed that one of the paintings had the title Weeping. We noticed that the word was the same as the word on our favorite words wall! We are developing foundational reading skills!
During second free choice, Kiera reviewed our daily schedule. The ability to review the daily schedule lays a strong foundation for future learning about time.
We had fun creating with pool noodles and bamboo sticks! We learned that we have to be so careful with the sticks so as to not hurt ourselves or our friends.
During small group time we decorated a cross to remind us that Jesus died on the cross and rose again! Jesus loves us!
We also used magnetic letters to make words! This activity promotes letter recognition and letter sound correlation. Some of the friends wanted to write the words that they made in their journals!
We practiced counting, one to one correspondence, and quantifying as we played a roll and jump game.
We then went outside to play! However, our iPod did not outside, so I apologize for the lack of pictures of outside time.
