We continued to engage in castle play this morning!
Many of the friends chose to use blocks to make their own castle!
Some friends created in the art center!
We had a lot of fun running and playing on the big playground!
During small group time, we engaged in writing practiced and worked to sound out words as we wrote a list of items that need to build the big castle in our classroom!
We also measured each other to see how many castles tall we are. This activity promotes number recognition, counting, and measuring!
We worked together to make a blueprint for the big castle!
After small group time, we extended our castle play with fabric and knight hats. The children used the fabric to create their own costumes! This promotes creative thinking!
We worked together to put together some of our "bricks" for the castle.
(Thank you so much for all of the cardboard donations!!)
We practiced stacking them to see how many we would need to put together.
Victoria made a flag for our castle!!
During Jesus time, we learned the story of Jesus feeding 5,000 people. We learned that because of sin in the world, it is sometimes difficult to get the things we need. However, God richly blesses us with all that we need- daily bread and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ!
