Happy Valentine's Party day!

For check in this morning, the children who chose to bring in Valentine cards distributed them into their friends' bags!

Look at some of the amazing block structures our friends created!

Pastor Hohener came and led us in chapel today!  He told us a story from the bible about a man who was told to wash in dirty water to rid himself of leprosy.  Pastor Hohener brought some yucky water to show us.  We learned that even if we were baptized with such dirty water, we would still be clean from sin!  Jesus won the power over sin when He died on the cross and rose again!

Back in the classroom, it was time for our party!

We started the party with a yummy snack of pretzels while we waited for our popcorn to cook!

We added yummy toppings to our popcorn!  We were able to choose from white cheese, yellow cheese, or red sugar!

We then read a story of the importance of showing God's love on Valentine's day and every day!

During the party, we played a fun toss the pom pons game.

We also made a love bug!

We made cards for our family and friends too!

After the party, the children helped clean out the beans from the sensory table.  They noticed the small pieces of beans left in the table.

"I got it!" one of the friends said.  The friend went to grab a paper towel and got it wet.
"The wet paper towel will clean it up."

Other friends followed the lead.  This was a perfect example of problem solving!

Once the table was clean, we put heart erasers in the table to explore!
