Happy Harvest Party day!

This morning we voted on what we want to put in the dramatic play center- A Flower Shop or A Doctor Office.  We will evaluate the graph, and use the vote to determine what we put in the dramatic play center!

This helps children have a voice in classroom decisions.  It was also a fun way for us to sign in!

Our class is learning how to build and develop friendships!  They are also practicing valuable social skills every day.  Strong social skills impact development in a positive way.

What a beautiful day to play outside!!

Even teachers like to play outside.  ;)

Thank you so much Heidi and Kari who helped with our party today!

We had a fun snack of Oreos in the classroom!  (I told the children that although oreos aren't healthy, it is okay to have them for snack once and a while.  ;) )

Then it was time for party games!  We had fun with a pumpkin bean bag toss!

With Ms. Heidi, we used pumpkin decorations to decorate pictures of ourselves!  They turned out great! Be sure to check out your child's in his/her folder today.

With Ms. Kari, we made giant scarecrow puppets!  The puppets too turned out great!

With Mrs. Buchholz, we decorated our own paper pumpkin.

After the party, we had our free choice time.

Some of the friends made an animal farm!

While other friends pretended to be animals!

Some friends practiced the alphabet.

Some friends created with the magnetic tiles.

The sensory table was also a popular choice!

Ms. Kari and Ms. Heidi stayed to play with us for a while!  Thanks again for your help!

During Jesus time we learned the story of the twelve spies found in Numbers 13:1-14:38.  We learned that sometimes we have a hard time trusting God to lead us.  We also learned that God never forgets us- His people.  He has taken care of our enemies- sin, death, and the devil.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can remember that we have a God who cares for us!  We can trust Him to lead us!
