We had a lot of fun playing and reading books in our tent this morning!

Some of the friends worked to make books!

The big playground was filled with dew, so we headed down to the Sonshine Center playground!  We are so thankful for the many outdoor spaces!

During small group time the friends played a game with Ms. Emma where they rolled two giant dice.  They then were able to jump into the hoops that many times!  This game helps strengthen one to one correspondence, counting, and engages large motor skills.

The friends also wrote in their journals.  They had fun strengthening their fine motor skills and expressing themselves.

With me we worked to sort and graph skittles!  We discussed how many skittles were in each row and then compared the rows.  Just as each child is unique, success for each child is unique.  Success in this activity for some children is combining various rows of colors to see how many skittles are altogether.  Success for some children is placing one skittle in one box and accurately counting them.

During second free choice many of the friends continued to refine their fine motor skills as they laced the various letters of the alphabet. This also started a discussion about letters and their sounds!

Some of the friends used their letters to catch fish from out boat!

During Jesus time we learned that God takes care of us!  Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-34 that we do not have to worry because Jesus knows our needs.  He provides for our biggest need- the need for a Savior! Hebrews 13:6 tells us, "The Lord is my helper; I shall not fear."
