Happy Monday!

The friends were active in creating with our good junk today!

They also enjoyed creating their own masterpieces with the pattern blocks.

Many of the friends worked together in the explore on the floor center to make their own creations!

After first free choice we headed to the Commons to play!

During small group time we practiced counting, quantifying, and one to one correspondence as we made our own bird feeders.  The friends rolled a dice to see how many cheerios to add to their feeder.  They then counted out that same number onto their bird feeder.

We also continued to create in the explore on the floor center.

With me, we worked to make our own nature trail around the classroom.

We discussed where the trail should go and how we would know how to follow the trail.

We decided to use paper to mark the trail.  The last group suggested using paw prints to make the trail.  The friends thought that was a great idea!

During second free choice, many of the friends wanted to complete their bird feeder.

We used trail maps and our new trail to enhance our play!

Some of the friends decided to sell tickets for the trail and a boat ride!

This led to a discussion about the cost of the tickets, where the boat was going, and how we could pay for the tickets.

They worked to make the tickets for the trail and boat ride.

Using the tickets for a boat ride

Bailee worked to make a closed sign to let us know that the ticket area was closed.
What a great time to engage in meaningful writing!

Ms. Emma worked hard to make paw prints to use for our trail.  The friends were excited to lay down the new trail!

After second free choice, we had time to do some dancing to our favorite SMARTboard songs!

During Jesus time, we learned the story of Peter and John healing a crippled man as found in Acts 3:1-10.  We learned that because of sin, our bodies are not perfect.  However, because of Jesus' death and resurrection on the cross, we will be made perfect in heaven!
