During small groups we explored the pattern blocks some more. Some of the friends chose to make their own creation with the blocks and some friends chose to use the guides. Either way the children are deepening their spatial reasoning and understanding of shapes.
We also worked collaboratively with the light bright!
We tested various classroom items to see if they would sink or float. We predicted if the items would sink or float before we tested it. We then hypothesized why the item sank or floated.
During second free choice the friends wanted to continue exploring sinking and floating. We made a sign up sheet for the sink or float exploration.

During Jesus time we learned that God takes care of us! Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-34 that we do not have to worry because Jesus knows our needs. He provides for our biggest need- the need for a Savior! Hebrews 13:6 tells us, "The Lord is my helper; I shall not fear."
