It's a Wonderful Wednesday here at Zion!
Today many of our friends were interested in the cook books in our dramatic play center.
Jacob said, "See these words here? These are the ingredients. That's how you cook it. There's lots of ingredients for this one!"
Our friends are learning that print has meaning and that written print can convey different messages.
You might hear your child say, "Wow! That's a lot of names!" when they refer to written print. That is okay too!
Some friends were concerned about our cars getting wet when it rains, so they created a garage for the cars! They are not only using their problem solving skills, but they are also expressing creativity!
Creating in the art and writing center!
Exploring in the sensory table!
We went to chapel today! Yay! Mrs. Kuhlmann read us a story of another miracle that Jesus did. He healed a man that could not walk! We learned that only God can do miracles. His greatest miracle was sending Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to save us from our sins!
Here is a picture of the offering helpers at chapel! The messenger for the day helps bring the offering to the altar.
During small group time we practiced our letter and sound correlation with a fun song and game!
We also continued to work on our special Easter crosses!
We then read this book entitled Fast Food which is filled with fruit and vegetable sculptures used as the illustrations. The friends were very curious about the different fruits and vegetables in the book! We wrote down our questions about them, and we will refer back to these questions throughout the project to help guide our learning.
