Happy Monday! It's a great day to be in preschool!
This morning our friends saw that our room was moved around a little bit!
Look at those ramps!
Blake and Bella cooked up some delicious food in the kitchen! Our friends pretended to read the book books in the kitchen. This is a pre-reading skill! The children understand that print carries meaning and they are learning to use the pictures as context clues.
"This burrito has a yummy white sauce on top."
Many friends made various creations in the writing center!
Other friends created in the block center!
As a part of our Food Project Mrs. Stafford, Allison's mom and a nutritionist, came and talked to us about healthy foods! THANK YOU MRS.STAFFORD!! She read us a book about healthy food.
We helped her pack healthy foods in her lunch box!
She also showed us how to make a plate full of healthy food!
Mrs. Stafford even brought in some healthy snacks for us!
During small group time, we made our own plate full of healthy food! Through this activity, the children are learning how to best take care of their bodies by choosing healthy foods to eat!
We also made a thank you card for Mrs. Stafford.
We strengthened our fine motor skills as we cut paper into the shape of a cross. We will use these crosses throughout the week for an Easter art project!
We had fun during indoor recess today too!
During Jesus time, we learned about Jesus praying in the garden and His death. We did not end the story with Jesus death because Jesus did not stay dead! We learned that all of the suffering and pain that Jesus went through was because He loves us so much! He died on the cross and rose again to save us from our sins! Because of Jesus, we can live forever in heaven!
