What a fun party day we had today!
Check out what we did!
Don't forget that school ends at 12:00 on Friday. Each child will need a lunch from home, and there is no after care. Merry Christmas!
We started the day drawing in our journals. The children are developing fine motor skills!
We used the stencils to create various pictures. Again, we are developing our fine motor skills!
We practiced using positional words as we read The Gingerbread Man together! Positional words help children explore and lern more about the world around them.
Before chapel, we went outside to run and play!
During Chapel, Mr. Bernhardt came from Lutheran High and shared special gifts in his bag of presents. The gifts help to tell the story of Jesus' birth! We were reminded that Jesus is the reason that we have Christmas!
When we returned to the classroom, we played a game of freeze dance before the party.
Mrs. Kuhlmann planned our party and brought a "Christmas tree" for us to decorate and it. It was so much fun and yummy too!
We were able to make our own nativity scene with stickers after snack! (Again, peeling the stickers will help fine motor development!)
Mrs. Kuhlmann read us a story about Christmas!
We painted stamps and stamped them to make another nativity scene!
We decorated our own Christmas tree!
We explored Christmas shapes in the play dough.
We played fun Christmas games like toss the bean bag.
We also went bowling with a giant jingle bell!
