Just a few reminders:
We will have NO SCHOOL December 24-January 2nd- Merry Christmas!

On Friday, December 21st school will have early dismissal at 12:00 p.m.  There will be no hot lunch program on this day, so please be sure that your child has a packed lunch from home.  Thanks!

Although it was cold outside today, we had a great day at school!

Check out what we did today!

We sorted animals and people.  Sorting is a foundational math skill!

We also worked to complete various Christmas puzzles.  As children complete puzzles, they are learning problem solving skills and spatial relationships!

We practiced recognizing letters as we hunted for that tricky mouse.
We love to play Little Mouse Little Mouse!

Although it was cold, we were able to go outside for a short while.  We enjoyed some of the new toys outside!

During Jesus time, we reviewed the story of Jesus being born! We learned about the Wise men who came to visit Jesus.  We also lit another candle on our advent wreath- the candle of peace!  We learned that Jesus was born to save us from our sins.  We thanked Jesus for being born!

We are developing strong bonds and relationships with each other!  We daily practice positive conflict resolution, problem solving, and showing God's love to each other!

We worked on our top secret projects today!  (No pictures of the top secret projects-sorry!)  We also enjoyed creating at the free choice center!

We continued to work on our Christmas trees!

We played Christmas memory match.  As the children play memory match, they practice memory skills, brain development, and improved cognition!

We worked on patterns today too!  We completed various Christmas patterns.  Patterning is a foundational math skill!

We matched various Christmas items to their shadows.  This game helps the children to practice visual discrimination and problem solving.

We played roll and make a Christmas tree again today.  We practiced counting, one to one correspondence, and matching numbers to their quantities as we played!
