We had a busy, but fun, day today!
Check out what we did!
Don't forget about the Christmas Service here at Zion in the Sanctuary on December 9th at 4:00. Our class will participate in the program. Please drop your child off by 3:45 in the church basement. There will be many people there, so I would encourage you to come early to get good seats. Preschool families will be asked to bring 1 dozen cookies for the cookie reception following the service. (peanut free of course) If you have further questions, please let me know!
We refined our writing skills as we traced some lines!
We practiced recognizing numbers 1-10 as we played Little Mouse Little Mouse. The children are developing foundational math and problem solving skills!
We then headed to the gym! We love running around and playing together!
After the gym, we went to chapel. Pastor Rolland told us about different times God has used flames to help people. We learned about the advent wreath too!
Thank you Allison for the yummy apples for snack!
Thank you Tommy for the birthday treat! Happy Birthday!
We continued to act out the story of Jesus' birth. As the children pretend they are learning conflict resolution, problem solving skills, and creativity!
We did a lot of painting today! We worked to paint a whole paper green. We will use this paper to make a Christmas tree!
We also painted the background for our Nativity mural. Tomorrow we will start making the parts to the nativity on the mural!
We created in the Free Choice center. The Free Choice center allows the children to express creativity which is a higher level thinking skill.
We played Go Letter together to practice matching upper and lower case letters. The children are developing as readers and writers!
We played number to quantity matching game together. The children are practicing one to one correspondence, counting, and number recognition.
