Look at our meaningful writing practice in the car shop!
L earning how to make and maintain friendships is a large part of early childhood education!
We love our family picture puzzles.
Our class LOVES to dance!
Jack led us in our alphabet today. We attached a physical object with the letter to help us remember the letter and its sound.
During small group time, we explored sandpaper letters. This kinesthetic activity provides an opportunity for more letter information retention.
I worked with the children one on one today and helped them practice writing their name. We worked on letter formation and pencil grip. Writing names is a great entry point for meaningful writing.
We then used the sandpaper letters to play a letter matching game on the blue carpet. This not only helps letter recognition, but also visual discrimination skills.
We then engaged in critical thinking as we looked at various pictures and decided what was wrong with the pictures. Critical thinking skills will help the children as they grow and develop throughout their lives.
We then sang a fun Alphabet song with the letter sounds.
During Jesus time, I played a mean trick on Mrs. Mudd. I told her to close her eyes because I brought a cat to school!
Really it was a fuzzy puppet. We talked about how that trick I played was not kind. Jacob (in our bible story this week) also played a mean trick on his dad. We learned that no matter what kind of tricks we play, Jesus loves and forgives us!
