In the block center today we created various roads and ramps.  Our friends have been interested in ramps especially.

We couldn't figure out why the car stopped at the bottom of the ramp, so we problem solved together.  We tested various methods...

and we figured out one that worked.  Encouraging children's ideas and thought process helps to foster curiosity and creates life-long learners.

Here are more roads we built!

We love the new play dough. So much learning happens at the play dough table!  We gain fine motor control, express creativity, and even practice letter recognition as we use the letter stamps in the dough.

Look at all of our writing practice today! Because the writing is child-initiated, it is meaningful to the children.  When children are engaged in meaningful writing, they are excited to learn and develop their writing skills!

We love to play mechanic in the car we created.

The Magic House came again today!  We learned all about sound and vibration!

We all were able to play outside together today!  We enjoyed the nice weather!

During Jesus time, we read the story of Joseph again.  We remembered "Don't worry!  God has a plan!"  God took care of Joseph, and He takes care of us too.  Just as Joseph forgave his brothers, God forgives us!  Praise God!
