We had a great day in preschool today!
Check out what we did!
We acted out the story of David and Goliath in pairs today.
Goliath shouted, "Who is going to fight me?"
David replied, "With God, I can do ANYTHING!"
Then David put a stone in his sling, swung it around, and hit Golaith. I think our favorite part was when Golaith fell over! The children did a great job acting it out. Some children chose to act it out again during center time too!
Allowing the children to take an active role in their learning enables the children to take ownership of their learning which in turn will help to create life long learners!
We worked on our what we know about spiders web. We will compare this web throughout the project to see what the children have learned!
The children enjoyed playing together in the pumpkin patch center. I love to see how they are able to work out conflicts, work together, and have fun together!
These children chose to act out the story of Daivd and Goliath again during center time!
Some of us finished our painted pumpkin project.
Andrew, Oliver, and Tommy worked together at the train table during center time.
We took one last look at the moldy pumpkins. The smallest orange pumpkin turned completely black! The children made other various observations about the moldy pumpkins too. As the children make these observations, they are not only learning more about the world around them, but they are also practicing expressive language.
Bella and Dominic worked together on a puzzle. They are learning about teamwork and spatial relationships!
Oliver problem solved as the train track would not stay up. He put a block underneath to help it stand!
Cohen, Leah, Stephanie, and Chase chose to write in their journals at center time too! As the children write in their journals they are practicing fine motor skills, letter recognition, and letter to sound correlation.
Mackenzi heard Jesus' name sung on the CD and she said, "Jesus! I love Him! I want to listen to this song all the time!"
We practiced letter recognition and some childrne worked on making words with the letters!
