It was another great day in preschool!

We practiced using positive conflict resolution in the magna-tiles this morning.  Social skills, such as conflict resolution, will benefit the children throughout their lives!

The friends practiced measuring, number recognition, and counting as they used helicopters to measure themselves.

ANOTHER TORNADO!  Good thing the children had a storm chaser and some equipment to use!  I heard the friends say to each other, "Grab the radar screen!"
"We need a computer!"

We went to chapel today too!  Pastor Reitz read us the story of Jesus blessing the children.  He reminded us that Jesus always loves us!

During small groups we worked to create and write in the writing center.

We also painted with Ms. Emma!

We also played a game to practice counting, one to one correspondence, and quantifying which are all foundational math skills!

Each student rolled the dice, identified the number of dots on each di, and counted out stones to match the number.

God created each child unique and therefore success for each child is unique.

Success for some children is correctly using one to one correspondence.
Success for some children is identifying the numbers on the chart.
Success for some children is quantifying the dots on the dice without counting them.
Success for some children is adding the two dice together without counting them.

As teachers, we celebrate each child's individual success and help each child learn and grow to the best of their ability.

Hurray for outside time!
