Happy Valentine's Party Day!

We had fun passing out our Valentine's for our friends this morning!

We also had fun with some extra time before the party during free choice!

During morning we sorted environmental print by the number of claps (syllables) in the name.  This game incorporates valuable pre-reading skills including environmental print and phonemic awareness.  It also incorporates foundation math skills including number recognition and counting!

We had a very fun party with Mrs. Kuhlmann!  Thank you Mrs. Kuhlmann for all of your hard work for our party!

We ate frosted graham crackers for snack.

Mrs. Kuhlmann then read us a story!

We played toss the Valentine!

Decorated a cross.  You might be thinking-a cross?!  God showed us love when He sent His son Jesus to come and die and rise again for us.  We remember God's love on Valentine's day because it's the most important love of all!

We decorated hearts with Ethan's grandma.  Thank you for your help at the party today!

We also played with play dough!

During Jesus time we reviewed the story of Jesus blessing the children.  We learned that no matter how we feel, we are always important to Jesus!  He loves us so much that He died on the cross and rose again to save us from our sins!
