Happy Party Day!
Many of our friends were motivated to write words in their journals this morning!
Other friends chose to build tall towers in the LEGOs.
Jack measured his tower to see if he was taller than the tower. We discussed that when measuring, we have to ensure that both things being measured begin at the same spot-otherwise we would not have an accurate measurement! Learning to use non standard items for measuring is a foundational math skill!
Mrs. Kuhlmann came to our class and led our Christmas party! A BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Kuhlmann, Mrs. Stafford, Ms. Clark, and Mrs. Linneman for all of your help during the party! THANK YOU!!!
We made stables to represent the stable in which Jesus was born!
We used play-dough to make Christmas trees! We decorated the trees too!
We then used strips of paper to make Christmas trees!
We made a yummy and creative snack! Using apples, fruit loops, and pretzel sticks we made edible Christmas trees!
Mrs. Kuhlmann read us a Christmas book too!
After the party, it was time for some indoor recess!
During Jesus time today, we learned that the Wise Men followed the star to where Jesus was. We practiced following a star just like the wise men. We then thanked God for sending Jesus on Christmas. It is because of Jesus that we have the very best gift-the gift of eternal life!
