Happy Thursday! We have a lot of pictures today! Have fun looking through all we learned today!
During free choice time, some friends wanted to create ramps.
Other friends explored shadows with our SMARTboard.
Some friends worked on their writing skills!
Wheelie, the game the children created in the beginning of the year, is still the game of choice most mornings!
We went to chapel today! Our DCE here at Zion Mr. Hansen talked to us about how we can show God that we are thankful. We can pray and we can do kind things for others to show God that we are thankful! We also had our November baptism remembrance today. If you are interested in having your child baptized, please come and talk with me or one of our wonderful Pastors here at Zion.
When we returned to the classroom, we continued discussing what trees need to live. We discussed that trees need air to live! We played with air as we blew a balloon and let it fly across our classroom.
During small group time, we continued to explore shadows. We played with light as we learned that trees need light to live. Some of our friends were very creative in the puppet show that they created!
We also played with dirt and water to remind us that trees need dirt and water to live. We will leave this bottle in our science center to explore throughout the year.
We then each had a turn to hold the balloon full of air and let it go to watch it fly around the room! We measured how far it went using a tree branch. We are practicing counting, measuring, and one to one correspondence!
Then we drew pictures and wrote words of all we learned that trees need to survive! We are refining our fine motor skills and learning how to form words.
