Brr!! The cold weather has hit for sure!

Check out what we did at school today!

Many of our friends have been interested in writing books during free choice time.  They are learning valuable concepts of print at they write the books.  The discussion at the "writer's table" sounds something like this, "What is the title of your book?"  "Who is the author?"  "What is your book about?"

We also stamped with tubes again today!

Drew practiced his scissors use in the sensory table.

Megan, Avery, and Hunter played pretend preschool.

We were very creative with the glue today too!

During small group time, we discussed what trees need to live.  We investigated dirt as we learned that trees need dirt to live and grow!  We described how the dirt feels and what would happen if we put water in with the dirt.

We worked on strengthening our spatial relationship skills in the blocks today too! Look at those ramps!  The children are learning to persist and problem solve in the block center as well!

We worked on writing skills in the writing center.  We also engaged in creative thinking.  As you know, engaging in creative thinking can lead to further cognitive development.

During Jesus time we learned that God gives us ten big rules called commandments. We learned that we show His love when we are obedient
