I included the words below so you can practice with your child at home.

Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
love in a box
love in a box
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
Love in a jar
Love in a jar
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
love in my heart
love in my heart
So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

Zion will also be hosting an Open House on Feb. 10th from 1-3 p.m.  This would be a great time to come in and view our Preschool/Kindergarten classrooms and talk to our school staff!  Please invite friends and family who are interested in learning more about the great things that are going on at Zion Lutheran School!

We started the day going to chapel!  We learned that God calls us, just like our moms and dads call us.  He calls us because He loves us!  He loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and rise again to save us from our sins!

We then came back to the classroom and in small groups, we went on a nature watch.  (It was a little too cold to go on a nature walk.)  On our nature watch we looked for animals, and circled the ones we saw.  We discussed that if we saw the animals, they must not hibernate.  We will go on a nature walk, weather permitting, again later on in the week.

After our nature watch, we watched a short video on animals that hibernate.  We also learned that hibernate means to sleep through the winter!  Ask your child to see if he/she remembers any animals that hibernate.

During center time, we each dictated something that we do well.  At the end of the day we discussed how all of the things that we do well are different, and that God made us all different and special!  This activity not only helps us remember that God loves us, but it also helps the children identify the special gifts that God has given them!

We drew pictures of ourselves on our We are God's Family mural.  When we are done with the mural, we will hang it in our classroom to remind us that no matter what, God loves us!

Tommy, Dominic, and Chase each practiced writing words during center time.  The children are developing as writers!
