I included the words below so you can practice with your child at home.

Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
love in a box
love in a box
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
Love in a jar
Love in a jar
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
love in my heart
love in my heart
So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

Zion will also be hosting an Open House on Feb. 10th from 1-3 p.m.  This would be a great time to come in and view our Preschool/Kindergarten classrooms and talk to our school staff!  Please invite friends and family who are interested in learning more about the great things that are going on at Zion Lutheran School!

Check out what we did today!

We started the day working in small groups.  We finished our spinner graph.  In this activity, the children are practicing visual discrimination, one to one correspondence, counting, and comparing.

We also played our hidden counter math game.  This game allows the children to practice counting, one to one correspondence, estimation, and working with a partner!

We worked together to again build with the plastic cups.  The children are creating more elaborate and intricate structures.  They are also practicing positive social skills such as conflict resolution.

We continued to work on our life timelines.  This activity not only allows the children to see how much they have changed, but also allows the children the opportunity to understand that all things change; this is an important life concept!

During Jesus time, we re-told the story of Jesus blessing the children.  We learned that Jesus loves us no matter how we feel!  We also learned that because He loves us, we can share that love with others!  We practiced sharing the Good News of Jesus' love as we walked to Mrs. Smith's class and told them, "Jesus loves you!"

We were excited to play with the marble slides today.  The children worked together to build various slides for the marbles.  They had to problem solve to see why a marble went down a slide or why it didn't go down a slide.  The children worked together and practiced conflict resolution with one another.  They also practiced teamwork as they built the slides together!

Stephanie drew a blueprint of her marble slide.  Great job Stephanie!

Tommy worked hard to make an Open and Closed sign for our puppet theater!  He is developing as a writer.

We created together with paper, glue, and tissue paper to make a tissue paper collage.  The children created all sorts of items!

Dominic practiced writing as he wrote all of his friend's names in his journal!  He is developing as a writer too!
