What beautiful weather today!  We had a great day at school!

Check out what we did today!

We created with the plastic cups today.  Our structures are becoming larger and more complex!  The children are learning problem solving skills as they learn why their structures fall down and discover solutions.

We worked in small groups on recognizing letters and letter sounds.  Some of the children started sounding out words too! We are developing as readers!

We worked on writing in our journals.  The children are developing as writers!

During Jesus time, we again discussed prayer.  We learned that when we are sad, scared, lonely, or angry we can always talk to God and He will listen to us and help us.  We sang the song, "All You Have to do is Pray" by Arison.  We thanked God for always listening to and answering our prayers! We also webbed "What is Prayer?"  to remind us what happens when we pray.

We worked together during center time as we played in the doll house.  The children role played different family roles. Playing in this way can help prepare them for when they have a family.  (many years down the road!)

We enjoyed expressing creativity and refining our fine motor skills through a watercolor painting.

We had so many different puppet shows today!  The children did a great job remembering to sign up to do a show, and following the puppet theater rules.

We did the estimation jar again today.  The children are not only learning to estimate, but they are also learning counting, one to one correspondence, and how to write some numbers.
