I included the words below so you can practice with your child at home.

Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
love in a box
love in a box
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a box
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
Love in a jar
Love in a jar
Oh you can't keep Jesus' love in a jar
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
love in my heart
love in my heart
So I'll just keep Jesus' love in my heart
'Cause His love will come a bubblin' through

Zion will also be hosting an Open House on Feb. 10th from 1-3 p.m.  This would be a great time to come in and view our Preschool/Kindergarten classrooms and talk to our school staff!  Please invite friends and family who are interested in learning more about the great things that are going on at Zion Lutheran School!

Check out what we did today!

We played the hidden counter math game.  In this game, the children are practicing estimation, counting, and one to one correspondence.

We enjoyed playing in the puppet theater again today.  The children are not only learning valuable social skills, but they are also practicing expressive language skills!

We continued working on our tissue paper collages today.  The children are expressing creativity!

Some of the boys were creative with the sticks.  They made 'protectors' for their shoes.  We discussed if they had an equal amount of protectors.  We also discussed how many more sticks they would need to make them equal.  We worked on one to one correspondence and counting!

Cohen and Allison made a letter store today!  They sold each letter for $1.  (Pretty good bargain, right? :) )  They sorted the letters by upper and lower case.  Many other children came to help them in the letter store.
Here are a few of the exchanges about letters that I overheard:
"I want to buy the letter B- the upper case one."
"I want to write my name, so I need to buy a C."
"No-that's a lower case letter.  I need an upper case letter."

The children are developing as readers and writers!

As the children play in the house, they are role playing family roles.  They are learning positive social skills such as conflict resolution and working together.
