Welcome back to another great week of school!

This morning during free choice time many of the friends using writing to enhance their play!

Practicing cooperation and collaboration

Outside time

We were excited to have Michelle visit us today!  Michelle is a dog trainer.  She taught us dog safety and showed us some tricks that we can teach our dogs!

We learned that before petting a dog, we must always ask the owner.

We also learned that when petting a dog for the first time, it is best to pet the dog's neck.

We learned that it is important to keep dogs clean and healthy by brushing their fur, taking them to the vet, and brushing their teeth!

Michelle showed us how to safely feed dogs.

She then showed us some dog tricks!

During second free choice time, many of the friends created with good junk!  They are expanding their creative thinking as well as strengthening their fine motor skills.

We also put what we just learned about dogs into practice through our play.

Working together to solve a puzzle

During Jesus time we read the story of Jesus cooking breakfast for His disciples as found in John 21:1-14.  We learned that sometimes we forget that Jesus is caring, serving, and all powerful.  He can help us when we need!  However, Jesus cared enough for us to die on the cross and rise again to save us! Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can see Jesus as the Risen One who is there for our every need.
