Happy Friday!
We took advantage of the beautiful day by creating an outdoor space for the friends to explore the rocks and water.
Before going to the outdoor space, the friends had to sign up on the sheet. We decided that three friends could be at the table at a time. We were also sure that a teacher was right there when the friends were outside.
We moved the table later in the morning so that the outdoor space was more accessible to the friends and able to keep them in the classroom while still experiencing the outdoors.

Fun on the big playground
After we played on the big playground, we went for a walk outside!
We were fancy artists during small group time today! We worked on three collaborative art pieces for our classrooms all made out of good junk!
The first art piece we decided to make out of the bottle caps. The friends helped decide between making flowers or a butterfly. We chose to make a butterfly with the bottle caps!
First part of our artwork was sorting all of the bottle caps by color! (Sorting is a foundational math skill!)
Our second piece of artwork was also made out of good junk- cupcake liners! Again, the friends helped me decide what we should make with the liners. We decided to make flowers.
As with the bottle caps, we had to sort the liners by color before we began creating.
Finally, we used our paper tubes to make a big flower for the classroom! The children helped Ms. Emma cut the tubes and fold them for the flower.
Second free choice
Some of the friends played "homework." :) This was a great time to engage in writing practice!
Signing in for the sensory table
Many of the friends worked collaboratively to make dog houses and a dog jail. :)
Back outside
During Jesus time we continue to celebrate Easter as we review the story of what happened on the first Easter morning. We learned that because of Jesus death and resurrection we can live with Him forever in heaven! Jesus is alive and we will live with Him forever in heaven!
