The friends were very excited to get to work this morning!

As you know, working in the blocks encourages children's problem solving skills as well as spatial reasoning and persistence!

Creating in the art center

Some friends made a campfire for our center.

We worked to change our adopt a dog center into the outdoors!

The friends had a great idea to make a boat for our outside center!

They wanted to paint the boat with their watercolors.  So we did!

Outside time

During small group time the friends asked if we could finish painting our boat that they created.  They worked hard to paint the boat!  Be sure to check it out the next time you are in our classroom.

We also wrote in our journals!

We played a Go Fish number and quantity matching game! This game helps us practice counting, number recognition, and one to one correspondence.

During second free choice time, the friends were excited to continue to change our classroom into the outdoors!

Finishing touches on the boat

Taking the boat for a test run :)

Creating together

During Jesus time we learned the story of the ascension.  We learned that sometimes we don't show God's love.  However, because of Jesus' death and resurrection we will be able to be in heaven with Him!  By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can share the love of Jesus with everyone!
