Happy Monday!  This is a short week of school as there is no school on Thursday or Friday for a teacher's conference.

We again used a graph to sign in this morning!
We are not only strengthening our writing skills, but we are also learning to use and compare a graph!

A large part of early childhood education is learning social skills.  Learning social skills including conflict resolution, cooperation, and sharing positively impacts children's academic achievement later in life as well!

We love the listening center!

We also love school so much, we often play school! :)

Doctor play

What a beautiful day outside!  (Might be the last one for a while.  :) )

During small group time we strengthened our fine motor skills as we made necklaces for our Thanksgiving feast in two weeks!

We practiced sequencing and story re-tell, both early reading skills, as we read the silly book There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie.

We also drew pictures of what we thank God for.  We will make a display of all of these things in the classroom.  Please feel free to add to our display too!

Free choice time!

Will had a car show!

Riley practiced her letters!
(We practice our letters every day during morning meeting.  We attach the letters to a concrete object such as a friend or something we see in school, to help us remember the letters.)

Play dough is a great way to strengthen those fine motor skills!

Block building helps lay a strong foundation for further math learning.

"Do you need to visit the doctor today?"

During Jesus time, we learned about David the shepherd.  We learned that David took care of sheep, and sometimes sheep make bad choices.  We learned that Jesus is our shepherd! He takes care of us, and He loves us even when we make bad choices! He loves us so much that He died on the cross and rose again to save us from our sins!
