Brr!!  It sure is cold outside!
Please be sure to send your child in a warm winter coat now that the weather is cold.  :)

Writing together is fun!  We have a lot of fun writing our own names and even practicing our friends' names too!

Many friends were creative in the art center this morning! Creative thinking is a higher level thinking skill and increases cognition.

Playing together

It was sprinkling just enough this morning for us to go to the commons.  We had a lot of fun running with each other!

We then played a game called Mr. Fox Mr. Fox.  This game not only is fun, but it also helps the children practice counting and one to one correspondence.

Mrs. Mudd led our chapel today!  She was looking all over for God's love.  Then, she remembered that God's love is in her heart!  Mrs. Dose then came and taught us how to say Jesus loves you in sign language.  See if your child remembers how to say Jesus loves you in sign language!

During small group time, we practiced sequencing and story re-tell, both early reading skills, as we read the silly book There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie.

We also drew pictures of what we thank God for.  We will make a display of all of these things in the classroom.  Please feel free to add to our display too!

We made necklaces for our Thanksgiving feast in two weeks too!  As we made necklaces, we strengthened our fine motor skills!

During second free choice, we had a lot of fun rescuing babies from a dirt storm! We worked together to clean the babies and take care of them.

Then we made a big bridge to keep out the trolls who stole the babies and made them dirty!
This imaginative play increases cognitive development.  Not to mention, it is fun!!
