We will have our classroom Christmas parties Tuesday and Wednesday (December 16th and 17th) from 9:30-10:30. If you are able to to come and help either of these days, we would love to have you!
Also Sunday, December 14th at 4:00 is our preschool Christmas service. Please bring your child to the church basement at 3:45. You might want to arrive sooner to find a seat. However, please do not bring your child to the church basement until 3:45. We look forward to celebrating Jesus' birth together!!! If you have any questions, please let me know!!
Today we thank God for Avery! We are so thankful that you are in our class Avery!
Happy Half Birthday!!
During morning free choice, many of the children independently chose to engage in some activities that promote literacy development.
Victoria searched through all of the letters to put them in alphabetic order! This is strengthening her letter recognition and building a strong foundation for alphabetizing later on in her life.
Maddie used what she read in the pictures to read a story to her friends. She is learning valuable concepts of print!
Other friends engaged in creative thinking at the gift making center!
Joey and Will practiced measuring and comparing in the beans! These are foundational math skills.
Fun in the commons!
During small group time the friends enjoyed decorating a snowman on the SMARTboard.
They also practiced counting and recognizing numbers with me. They checked each other's work too! They are learning valuable math skills!
We finished decorating our plates that will be used to make a collaborative Christmas tree too!
Second free choice time.
We love to play in the gym!!
During Jesus time, the friends helped me act out the story of the angels telling the shepherds about Jesus' birth. We remembered that although Santa, cookies, presents, and snow are fun parts of Christmas, the BEST part of Christmas is the birth of our Savior Jesus! Jesus was born so that He could save us from our sins through His death and resurrection!!
