It was yet another great day in preschool!

Check out what we did today!

But first, a few reminders  :)

Please be sure to pack your child a snack labeled with his/her name.
Please be sure to bring any utensils that your child will need for snack/lunch.
Check your child's folder each night for important notes.  (Today you will receive a note about purchasing school lunches on-line if you did not receive one yesterday.)

We continued playing, creating, and learning all of the fun things to do in our classroom.

As the children play together they are learning valuable social skills!

As the children create they are engaging in creative thinking; creative thinking is a higher level thinking skill and can lead to more cognitive development!

We met our new friend Ethan!

We talked about how God gave us each a special name!  We then practiced recognizing/writing our names!

We explored the wood pieces and talked about how some of the lines were straight and some were curvy.  This discussion and manipulation of lines helps to lay the foundation for letter formation!

We then read a silly book called I Ain't Gonna Paint No More.  We talked about how the boy in the book did not listen and painted on the walls, the floor, and all over his body!  We then discussed how we paint at school- not on the walls or floor or on our bodies.  :)

We then enjoyed painting!

During Jesus time, we learned how God took His time and made us special!  We are the greatest thing that He created!  He loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross and rise again for our bad choices.  We thanked God for loving us so much!! We then sang a song entitled, "Look at Me I'm Special You See- for the Lord Above Created ME!"
