Check out some of the highlights from our day!
We worked together in the Doctor Office today. As the children use their imaginations to play they develop social skills, emerging mathematical abilities, mastery of early literacy concepts, and self-regulation.
We loved exploring in the sensory table today!
Ethan worked hard to create this blue, white, and red pattern!
We went to chapel today and learned that Week of the Young Child is a wonderful thing because Jesus told us in the bible: "Let the little children come to me!" Jesus loves us so much, and so do our teachers and staff here at Zion.
Since there have been a limited amount of nice days lately, we decided to take a longer time outside and enjoy the weather! The children practiced positive conflict resolution, refined their large motor skills, and even helped the younger PDO children!
We had a special popsicle snack outside!
We took a Spring nature walk and discussed the different changes we noticed about Spring. We looked at the baby birds in the nest. It's hard to believe that just last week they were still in their eggs!
We talked about the flowers we saw in Spring, the green grass, and the leaves on the trees. We listened to the birds chirping and enjoyed the weather outside! As we explore outside, the children are fostering their sense of wonder and discovery. Praise God for the beautiful day today!
After rest, we celebrated The Week of the Young Child with Ms. Boldt's First Grade Class outside on the BIG PLAYGROUND!! We did sidewalk chalk, painted with water, and blew bubbles together too! What fun!
