Weekly Newsletter October 15-17
We
will continue exploring pumpkins this week! We will predict whether a pumpkin will sink or float. We will test the prediction and see if
the pumpkin sinks or floats! Through this activity the children are developing
scientific reasoning and exploration.
We will also make a book about what is inside the pumpkin! Again, the children will observe and
explore what is inside the pumpkin and create a representation of it. We will vote and graph what kind of
face we will carve for our pumpkin.
The children will compare the graph to see which one has more
votes. Through this activity, the
children are working on foundational math skills such as counting and
comparing! We are also excited for
the Magic House to come this week too!
During
Jesus time, we will review the story of Abraham and Sarah. We will continue to learn that God
keeps His promises!
