Look how intricate our ramps are becoming!  Exploring in the blocks is a great way for children to learn foundational math skills!

Some of our friends played school bus this morning!

Soon all of the friends joined in on the fun!  :)

During small group time we worked in partners on various tasks.  Cooperative learning with children benefits all children involved.  It allows the children a chance to practice leadership skills, patience, and cooperation. Cooperative learning also allows the children the opportunity to accomplish tasks they could not do independently. This dynamic increases independence and competence.

The children worked together to order various items from smallest to tallest.  They are learning to compare the size of objects by using comparative words.

We practiced our writing skills as we wrote in our journals!

We also practiced counting, one to one correspondence, and number recognition with a fun feed the fly game!

Look at all of the fun we had outside!

During Jesus time, we reviewed the story of Palm Sunday.  We learned that Jesus came to save us from our sins through His death and resurrection.  We had a discussion about how Jesus is more powerful than any superhero.

One friend asked, "If Jesus does so much for us, why don't we do anything for Him?"  We learned how when we are kind and show God's love to others we are doing it for Jesus.  When we are obedient, we are doing it for Jesus.  When we go to church, we are doing it for Jesus. The friends then decided "Well let's do it for Jesus!!"  :)
