Mrs. Douglas Classroom
Management
I
use consistent routines, clear expectations, positive re-enforcement, and
redirection in the classroom as the main tools of classroom management.
Student Expectations:
1. Follow directions.
2. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
3. Use kind words
when speaking.
4. Love your friends
Occasionally,
children will make the wrong choice. It is part of the learning process! Individual
situations are dealt with as needed with the purpose of enabling the child to
grow and learn from his or her actions.
Teacher Responses:
1. When a problem
situation arises, I will respond without anger, proceeding with the best
interest of the child.
2. Consequences are
provided not to punish, humiliate, or demean a child, but to allow the child to
experience the results of a poor choice.
This will enable him or her to make better choices in the future.
3. Every child is
different. Consequences will be designed to fit the needs of individual
students.
